The Faculty of Engineering and the UMES Council hold "Bear Pit Sessions" in the first half of each regular session term. The sessions are open forums where you can voice any concerns or questions about courses, instructors, and anything relating to the Faculty to the Dean and the Senior Stick.

Some commonly addressed issues at Bear Pit Sessions include:

• Professor/TA performance
• Classroom and lab equipment
• Course content
• Class environment/atmosphere

Students who prefer not to voice their concerns in an open forum may also make an appointment with the Vice Stick Academic, Dean, Senior Stick or the appropriate department head to discuss the matter. All problems brought forth will be dealt with confidentially.
