The Senior Stick is the spokesperson and representative of all engineering students. The Stick maintains communication with the Dean and Associate Deans on all topics concerning UMES members. The Senior Stick also works actively with UMSU and the University's other senior sticks to support the needs of both Engineering students and all University students.

The Vice Stick Internal ensures that the Faculty related issues are addressed in a timely manner by working with for the Dean's Office and the students to bring a resolution. The VSI is also responsible for maintaining student space in the engineering building.

The Vice Stick External is your contact person with APEGM and other engineering student societies across Canada. The VSE is responsible for sending students to Engineering conferences, which are a great way to meet fellow engineering students from all over the country. The VSE also organizes the University of Manitoba Engineering Competition (UMEC), which is an event featuring various competition categories testing your design and communication skills.

The Vice Stick Academic is the academic advocate for Engineering students. The VSA is responsible for communicating with the Faculty and its departments regarding academic issues, coordinating student representation on academic committees, organizing academic events like Bear Pit sessions, and assisting individual students with their academic problems.

If you are having difficulty dealing with a professor, need help in launching an appeal, or have questions or concerns about course content or academic rules and regulations, please contact the VSA.

The Vice Stick Communications is responsible for strengthening for communications between UMES Council and Engineering students. The VSC is also one of two UMSU Representatives that serve as a voice for Engineering students on the University of Manitoba Students' Union Council.

The Vice Stick Socials works with the directorships that help fill your social calender with fun sporting events and parties. The VSS is also the second of two UMSU Representatives that serve as a voice for Engineering students on the University of Manitoba Students' Union Council.

The Vice Stick Finance organizes and oversees the spending of money by UMES Council. Beginning with the budgeting process and continuing throughout the year, the VSF ensures that every penny is accounted for and that UMES' activities are carried out in a financially responsible manner. The VSF is also involved in the planning process that takes place before the year begins, to ensure that all spending will be in the best interests of Engineering students.

The Secretary helps to ensure that the administrative activities of UMES Council proceed smoothly. The Secretary is primarily responsible for taking accurate minutes, the official record of meeting discussions and actions, at all UMES Council meetings. The Secretary also assists other UMES Council members in many other ways, helping them to serve Engineering students more efficiently.
