Hello Fellow Engineering Students,

As you may know, registration for the University of Manitoba Engineering Competition (UMEC) opened on Nov. 5th and applications are still being accepted! Physical applications are available at the window and PDF applications can be found at the link below.

 
UMEC is schedule to take place the weekend of November 21-22, 2015.

 

To give a little background, UMEC is a Faculty Wide Engineering Competition consisting of seven (7) separate Engineering challenges. These competitions serve as a qualifier for the Western Engineering Competition (WEC), which is a regional Engineering Competition between the Engineering schools of Western Canada. This year WEC is being hosted by the University of British Columbia Okanagan in Kelowna, BC and will be taking place January 13-16, 2015.

 
The seven (7) competitions are:

    - Junior Design (teams of up to 4 students - 1st and 2nd years only)

    - Consulting Engineering (teams of 4 students)

    - Senior Design (teams of up to 4 students)

    - Impromptu Debate (teams of 2 students)

    - Communications (teams of 2 students)

    - Innovative Design (teams of up to 4)

    - Re-Engineering (teams of up to 2)

 

The registration deadline for these events is

Monday, November 16, 2015 @ 5:30pm.
