The October 7th Senate meeting marked the first of the fall term. All proceeding meetings
will occur on the first Wednesday of each month.
This meeting was quite short (~30 min.) and included very few discussion topics relevant
to Engineering students. The only notable discussion topic pertains to the University’s new
capital campaign, “Front and Centre”. President Barnard indicated that there was an
announcement made at the October 2nd Bomber game which stated that approximately $215M
has already been raised from within the private sector. This value represents about 60% of the
private sector target for the campaign and therefore marks a significant start to the associated
fundraising efforts.
